WAT HAW PHA KAEW TEMPLE,VIENTIANE,LAOS
Wat Haw Pha Kaew or {HOPHRAKEO} was built in 1565.ad by the great King Xaisethathirath,
for the containment of the Emerald Buddha only.
The Emerald Buddha was removed from the temple in 1779. a. d.
The temple now houses a large collection of ancient materials.
No cameras are allowed within the temple museum.
